On 27 August 2026, the Department of Precious Metals under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic held a ceremonial event dedicated to the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The event was attended by entrepreneurs who contribute to the Department’s work and cooperate fruitfully with it, representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Department’s staff. Awards were presented to those who had distinguished themselves in their work.

The Director of the Department, Almaz Asanakunovich Kadyrakunov, thanked the guests and congratulated them on the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic.

“Independence is the greatest asset of any people — a symbol of the state’s freedom, of the unity of our people, and of our faith in the future. This sacred day holds special meaning for every citizen of Kyrgyzstan,” the Director noted.

He also stressed that strengthening and developing an independent state is a shared responsibility, and commended the joint contribution of state bodies, institutions, and partners in this area.

“I express my deep gratitude to the representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and to our partners who work closely with the Department of Precious Metals. Your work to ensure the country’s economic stability, protect state interests, and support national development is especially valuable,” he added.

As part of the initiative “Uluttuk dem — düinölük biyiktik” (“National Spirit — Global Heights”), implemented pursuant to Presidential Decree No. PD 369 of 18 December 2024, Bakytbek Kutbidinovich Kozhoev, Chief Specialist of the Accounting and Expertise Division, delivered a presentation on the theme “Independence and the Kyrgyz Land.”

Continuing the event, at the Director’s initiative the Department’s staff visited the Ata-Beyit National Historical and Memorial Complex and the Chyngyz Aitmatov Museum. The main purpose of the trip was to acquaint staff more closely with the country’s history, the lives of those who fought for independence, and the national cultural heritage.
